How Does a 60KW High-Frequency Induction Melting Furnace Work?

Types of Induction Bearing Heaters

A 60KW high-frequency induction melting furnace uses electromagnetic induction to heat and melt metal quickly and efficiently.

The system consists of a non-conductive crucible surrounded by a copper coil. When high-frequency alternating current flows through the coil, it generates a rapidly changing magnetic field that induces eddy currents inside the metal.

These eddy currents produce heat through electrical resistance (Joule heating), allowing the metal to heat uniformly from within without direct contact. In ferromagnetic materials like iron and steel, additional heat is generated through magnetic hysteresis, further improving efficiency.

As the metal melts, electromagnetic forces create a natural stirring effect, ensuring uniform temperature and consistent material composition.

This process is widely used in metal melting, induction hardening, quenching, and other heat treatment applications.

Main Parts Introduction

1) Induction melting furnace deploys with Germany SIEMENS INFINEON IGBT Module (40-60KHZoscillation frequency, fast response time, high arc stability and almost spatter-free welding).

2) It contains Japan Nichicon electrolytic capacitor (filter capacitor).

3) It is adopted signal circuits, drive circuit boards, control circuit boards,s and components: Toshiba, Hitachi, Motorola, and also China’s top manufacturers.

4) This induction melting furnace uses international advanced all-solid-state semiconductor power devices.

5) Imported transistor integrated block.

6) High-speed control tube.

7) As with perfect control, protection, and alarm display circuit, the machine could get full automatic tracking frequency and continuously adjustable power. It is also safe and dependable protection, clear and occur data display and etc.
